The Writer's Life 7/10 - Picture This

Here are pictures culled from the web, and a few I shot on my morning walk. The first is from Polish TV. As the man was being interviewed, he received an unexpected visit. Undaunted, he continued talking:


It was Wayne County Mud Day in Michigan:


A thug went into the kitchen of a Wisconsin restaurant and punched his waitress. A colleague who has a conceal and carry permit pulled a gun on the creep, who retreated:


President Trump has nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The character assassination began even before the selection was made. Good luck, sir:


The area below was flooded during Hurricane Sandy. The grounds crew did a great job creating the garden. Shot from the Belt Parkway overpass at East 12th, where quick-thinking local residents parked to save their cars during the storm:


Here's the sun coming up over lower Sheepshead Bay:


And here's another site that was affected by Sandy. It's where the El Greco Diner stood, across the street from the Bay. It reopened, then sold out to the owners of the condo that now stands there and has this beautiful and appropriate sculpture of a sailboat outside it:



My thanks to the gentleman who purchased five books in Russian, and to the woman who purchased one and a pocket dictionary of American history published in the early '60's; and to Michael, who selected two Catherine Coulter romances. All three showed in the last half hour to save the day.
